Scientific Research Projects
1. Elucidating the Role of Heat Shock Proteins in Fragile X-Associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome
This project investigates how heat shock proteins influence protein stability and neurodegeneration in Fragile X-Associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS). By uncovering these molecular pathways, the research aims to identify potential therapeutic strategies for fragile X-associated disorders and related neurodegenerative diseases.
2. Identifying Drug Leads against Infectious Diseases (including COVID-19)
Through biotechnology and pharmacology approaches, this research focuses on finding novel therapeutic compounds against global infectious diseases such as Hepatitis C, Malaria, and COVID-19. The goal is to accelerate drug discovery pipelines and contribute to the development of effective, accessible treatments.

Science Education Projects
1. Assessing the Impact of Integrated Core Nursing Courses on Student Learning
This project evaluates how aligning pharmacology, health assessment, and nursing fundamentals enhances clinical reasoning and interdisciplinary learning for nursing students. Findings are aimed at reshaping curricula to better prepare students for real-world patient care.
2. Exploring AI Transparency and Faculty–Student Co-Intelligence
This initiative examines how transparency in artificial intelligence use—and mutual agreement between faculty and students—creates trust, safety, and openness in classrooms. It seeks to establish best practices for responsible AI adoption in higher education.
3. Humanizing Technical Degrees through the H.U.M.A.N. Framework
This project develops a pedagogical framework that embeds compassion, empathy, and inclusivity into technical and scientific programs. The goal is to transform “dry” academic practices into meaningful, human-centered learning experiences that shape both knowledge and character.
